What is a variable-rate energy plan?

When you sign up for a variable-rate plan, the price you pay per kilowatt-hour (kWh) will be determined month by month. Electricity prices are always changing. Many factors will affect the price month to month. Some are within Rhythm's control, and some are not. For example, if market rates drop, then your bill could be lower, but if high temperatures or increased demand drive up market rates, then your bill could increase.
